Miracles

There are more than one type of miracle in the Bible and in reality:

1) Supernatural Miracles: Events that suspend the normal laws of the physical world (e.g., walking on water or turning water into wine). Creation Miracles and the resurrection are ones that can be checked.

2) Providential Miracles: Coincidences or timings that look deeply guided by God without breaking physical laws. The odds are so great that we call them Miracles. Always very debated. But when the odds show a Providential Hand; it is clear.

3) Sustaining Miracles: The ongoing existence of the universe and natural laws themselves. Dark Energy would be just one. See Hebrews 1:3 and Colossians 1:17 See Law of Physics page

Sub types:

a) Healing Miracles: Events where physical illnesses are instantly cured. There are many well-documented cases. Sadly, also some fraud. But finding the truth is not hard.

b) Resurrection: Bringing a person back to life after death. This has always been the strongest evidence for the God of the Bible and the Lord Jesus Christ. See Resurrection page

c) Creation Miracles: The universe (Space, Time, Matter, Energy) and the laws of physics. Modern science has the strongest evidence for Creation Miracles. See Space-Time page

e) Supernatural change of a person's life. Being saved and delivered. This has always been the strongest evidence for the God of the Bible. See: God of the Bible page and Testimonies page

Another way to list Miracles:

Hypernaturalism is a theological and philosophical idea that states God performs miracles by using the laws of nature in extraordinary ways only.

Supernaturalism: Believes God steps completely outside of natural laws to cause a miracle.

In truth, God uses BOTH. Sometimes it is clear which was used; sometimes it is not clear which He used.

Naturalism: Believes everything happens by random chance and natural forces alone. The creation of the universe proves this is false. Near-Death Experiences have shown that Humans are more than matter. See Near-Death Experience
