Faith-Nature

History of the Universe, from God's point of view, as His goal was to send His Son, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, to offer reconciliation and forgiveness to mankind. Many other great achievements of mankind are not listed here.

(Detail)

13.813 ±0.038 billion years ago God created the universe. Genesis 1:1: Heavens and Earth: A Hebrew phrase that is used to describe the entire physical universe, all space, time, matter, and energy (Stars, Sun, planets, and Earth and Moon). Psalm 89:11, Colossians 1:16, The universe was made by that which is not visible, Hebrews 11:3, John 1:3

Time has a beginning (Titus 1:2, 2 Timothy 1:9).

Space-time math proves that the Bible is the origin of the physical universe. (Also called The Singularity and Big Bang)

The universe has been expanding since its creation. See verses: Job 9:8; Psalm 104:2; Isaiah 40:22

Life is not possible any earlier in the universe because the elements needed for life are not yet of sufficient quality. As soon as sufficient quality is reached, we have life on earth.

~ 5 billion years ago. Dark energy began to overtake gravity as the dominant force shaping the universe. Before this time, the attractive gravity of matter slowed the expansion of the universe; afterward, the repulsive force of dark energy accelerated it. ~5 bya. Job 38:19–20. See Why so Dark page

4.5662 million years ago (±0.0001) Earth is formed. Heavens and Earth, notes Heavens, outer space where stars are found is first, then the Earth is formed. See Heavens and Earth. See Age of Earth page

Psalm 19:1-4: The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.

Gen 1:1 includes the Moon formation ~4.35 billion years ago

Gen 1:1-2 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering (brooding over life) over the waters." "Earth was formless and empty." Formless as the earth was, it was formed from the Moon-forming event. Then the late heavy bombardment. Earth was empty (void) of life, as it was not fit for life yet, it was too hot due to Moon-forming then late heavy bombardment. The early primordial Earth is dark (light cannot penetrate its thick atmosphere, light from the heavenly bodies could penetrate to the surface), unfit for life, and void of life. (formless, like molten) Then the Earth's surface is covered with water. Frame of reference now on earth over the water. (Gen 1:2)

Late heavy bombardment (LHB), occurring roughly 4.1 to 3.8 billion years ago, was a period of intense asteroid and comet impacts that intensely resurfaced the Moon, Earth, Mercury, and Mars. Triggered by giant planet migration, this it delayed early life. Empty (void) of life. Gen 1:1-2.

Gen 1:1-2 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." Earth was molten (formless) for the first 200–300 million years.

~4.1 to 3.8 billion years ago (darkness was over the surface of the deep) Once the Earth cooled, it was a water world, as plate tectonics had not yet pushed up any landmasses. "Darkness" was dark over the deep oceans 1) Moon-forming debris blocked some sun light. 2) Low oxygen levels darkened the sky so the sun, moon, and stars could not be seen. Science matches Bible text. Job 38:9 "when I made the clouds its (earth) garment and wrapped it in thick darkness". Frame of reference now on earth over the waters. (Gen 1:2) Gen 1:3-5 The sun's light came through the air, but the sun still could not be seen. End of Day 1, a long but finite time span.

The early primordial Earth had life in the oceans (Ge 1:2), brooding (hover, brooding over life), protecting life in the seas. (before this earth is empty of life, and unfit for life). While sun cannot be seen due to low oxygen (0.02–0.2%). It is light enough for photosynthesis. God creates life in the ocean, as is described as protecting it. We know God created this life, as there is no one naturalistic creation model of the origins of Life that has not failed 100%. See life page

~3.8 billion years ago “Let there be light” with the rise in oxygen. the early primordial Earth's darkness gave way to light, but could not see objects in the sky [sky is translucent] (Gen 1:3, Job 38) The early primordial Earth had a water cycle (Gen 1:6-8)( Water above and water below. Firmament or vault should be translated sky or expanse) End of Day 2, a long but finite time span.

3.3 and 3.5 billion years ago: Earth's first continents. Continents - dry land forms (Gen 1:9-10, end of water world, and ocean basins took shape.) Plants began to grow on the continental landmasses (Gen 1:11-12). Organic signatures of Plants on Earth is 3.48 billion years ago. End of Day 3, a long but finite time span.

2.4 billion years ago, Great Oxidation Event (GOE). Oxygen up tp 3%, dropped shortly after rise.

The atmosphere transitioned from translucent to transparent so that the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars could be seen from Earth’s surface.(Gen 1:14-Job 38) ("let there in light", the word create in nowhere in the text, not add it, see Job 38 on why it is dark) Note: vault or firmament is bad translation, should be sky or expanse. End of Day 4 a long but finite time span.

Swarms of small sea animals filled the oceans. [Avlon and then Cambrian explosion] (Gen 1:20)

575-million-year-old Avalon explosion was a major, rapid, and early expansion in marine biological diversity during the Ediacaran period, predating the Cambrian explosion by ~33 million years. It marked the emergence of complex, often immobile, frond-like multicellular organisms. Avalon explosion, from one cell to complex animals. "

540 million years ago, a large rise in atmospheric and oceanic oxygen occurred Neoproterozoic Oxidation Event just before the Cambrian Explosion. Oxygen rises to 10%, and immediately all life's body plans appear, including fish with brains, spinal cords, lungs, liver, and organs like ours.

Great Unconformity and the Cambrian Explosion. The Cambrian explosion describes a dramatic event in life’s history about 540 million years ago when 50 to 80 percent of the known animal phyla appeared over a relatively short window of time (perhaps as narrow as 2 to 3 million years). This event defies an explanation from an evolutionary standpoint, and yet, is precisely what one would expect the fossil record to look like if, indeed, a Creator brought animal life into being. In fact, the Cambrian explosion, a marine event, is reminiscent of the fifth day of creation, when God commands the waters to teem with life. See life page

300 Million years ago As soon as 21% oxygen levels are reached, large animals appear.

Dinosaurs are not in the Bible; we only learned about them a few hundred years ago. 1st 252–201 million years ago, 66 million years ago, Dinosaurs are all gone.

210 million years ago Birds (Gen 1:20) Found in southern Africa (210), also modern birds in China, Baminornis zhenghensis, 150 million years ago. China Archaeornithura meemannae 130 million years ago. End of Day 5, a long but finite time span.

65 million years ago. Sea mammals were created and became abundant. (Gen 1:21)

Three specialized kinds of animals came onto the scene, reptile or any other small, rapidly moving animals, livestock (cattle), came on the scene late, and beast (general term for animals), not a complete list of all animals. Can also be translated as: short-legged land mammals, long-legged, easy-to-tame land mammals, and long-legged, difficult-to-tame land mammals—all three appropriate in specific ways to help meet humanity’s needs. (Day 6, Gen 1:24-25)

Hominids are bipedal animals with very heavy bones and muscles. homo sapiens. (Day 6, Gen 1:24-25) ~900,000 to ~40,000 years ago

~150,000 to 90,000 years ago Human beings appeared last, are special, not the same as animals (in the image of God) (day 6, Gen 1:26). Spirit beings, worship part of early Human life. (Do not have heavy bones and muscles, homo sapiens sapiens) Origins of Adam and Eve are so strong that scientists call them, Mitochondrial Eve and Mitochondrial Eve. Language tree map matches these date. See Origins of Humans and Human Uniqueness. End of Day 6, a long but finite time span.

No new phylum or clade comes after Human beings appear. Day 7 starts, a long but finite time span, that has not yet ended. God rest from creating. Since humans appear no new kinds of animals. (Gen 2:2)

(50,000 - 60,000 flood Flood shortly before human migration, see Flood page

60,000 to 50,000 years ago, humans finally started migrating to other continents.

16,000 to 23,000 Humans migration to the Americans. Genesis 10:25 states that at the time of Peleg, the world was divided. Some hold that this refers to the separation of North America from Asia, and that just after Peleg, people migrated to North America via the Bering land bridge. The Bering land bridge formed at the end of the last Ice Age, approximately 16,000 years ago. (A small group may have arrived as early as 23,000 years ago, but must have been small, as little to no trace of them has been found. The two records (as of today) put Peleg between 15,000 to 23,000 years ago.

~8,000 BC: Human civilization begins in the Mesopotamian Valley

The record of nature and the Bible agree completely is the foundation of civilization. Both the Bible and science agree that the Mesopotamian Valley is the origin of Human civilization. Humans are special due to their high intelligence, complex reasoning, capacity for abstract thought, and ability to create complex cultures, art, the worship of God;7 (gods), language, writing, and technology. Science and the Bible agree that the cities of Ur (Gen 15:7), Akkad, Kalneh and Uruk (Genesis 10:10) were among the earliest cities, and they are between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers (Genesis 2:14). Southern Mesopotamia is where evidence of the domestication of animals and wheat is found. Mesopotamian Valley cities made glass, wheels, jewelry, many types of art, and religious objects. Also, the earliest written records and mathematics writing (3,500 BC) are found here. Mesopotamia is called the Cradle of Civilization. From Southern Mesopotamia, civilization spread north, west, and into Egypt. Farmers grew enough food that artisans, craftsman and priests were able to specialize. All this archaeological evidence agrees with the Bible record of where civilization was founded. Some have asked: if humanity appeared so long ago, why did it take so long for human civilization to begin? Science is sometimes not good at integrating all fields of science. From human appearance to the founding of civilization, humans lived through severe ice ages. This last ice age started about 115,000 years ago and ended about 11,700 years ago. During this period, temperatures fluctuated due to intense glacial advances and warmer interstadials. This would not have provided for large-scale farming to support cities.

~ 2000 BC Abraham is picked (chosen) by the Creator of all. God revealed Himself to Abrharam. Abrharam, God entered a covenant, a binding agreement, with him and his descendants. The covenant came with a promise that all of mankind would be blessed through him. This has come true: the Messiah promised to him and his descendants, the Lord Jesus Christ, has changed the history of mankind, bringing blessings to every nation. Abraham's descendants also would have become a mighty nation, which happened in 1948. Gen 12:3 Gen 22:18 Genesis 17:5

Covenant, agreement, and blessings of Abraham are passed to his son, Isaac. Next, the Covenant is passed to Isaac, the son of Jacob (later renamed Israel). The sons of Israel make up the 12 tribes of Israel. Genesis 27:25-29 Genesis 49

~1446 BC Moses is picked to be the leader to bring Israel out of Egypt, and Joshua is to be the leader to take them to the promised land, the Holy Land that Abraham and Isaac had lived in. Exodus 3:10U First Passover Dinner, celebrated each year, longest continuous holiday celebration.

All naturalistic processes (natural selection, mutations, gene exchange, epigenetics) for driving the evolution of life require long time periods to produce any significant changes. However, the fossil record—in combination with the history of Earth’s atmospheric oxygen levels established by Wang’s team—demonstrates that the time periods are extremely brief, indistinguishable from instantaneous. The immediacy with which oxygen-demanding animals appear when atmospheric oxygen levels attain the minimum levels necessary for their survival supports the argument that a supernatural, superintelligent Creator authored such life, as described in Psalm 104.

~4.35 billion years ago was the Moon-forming event. A large, slow impact when the proto-Earth collided with a Mars-sized body named Theia, which shared the same orbit with Earth. This slow collision ejected rock and debris into Earth's orbit, which quickly formed our large Moon. The Moon is too large for Earth's siz. Thus, this is the only way the Moon could have formed. Moon rocks brought back to Earth helped confirm this theory into a fact.

The moon and the moon-forming event are key to having life on Earth. The event gave us the very large magnetic field that protects life on Earth from the sun's deadly radiation. I has slowed Earth's rotation and stabilized Earth's axis and tilt for advanced life. Earth was molten (formless) for the first 200–300 million years of its existence.

The 12,000 city is in a polytheistic culture, other gods: Inanna, Elkenah, Libnah, Mahmackrah, Korash and more. From Ur, 500 miles away, is the City of Haran. The gods lived in temple estates, requiring constant maintenance by human worshippers. Abraham obeyed God’s command to leave his home in Ur and later Haran, traveling to the land of Canaan with his wife Sarai and nephew Lot. God promised to make him a great nation, taking him to the "promised land" where he built altars at Shechem and Bethel.
