Angels
Greek world Angelos, from which "angel" means "messenger."
Angels are God's messengers or ambassadors created by God to serve and worship Him. (Colossians 1:16, Nehemiah 9:6). Angels were present before the world was made, shouting for joy when God laid the earth's foundation (Job 38:4-7).
Their Activity:
Their mission in heaven is to praise him (Rev. 4:5).
They devote themselves to doing his will (Ps. 103:20) and in this activity, they behold his face (Matt. 18:10).
They accompany God in his work of creation (Job 38:7),
They are created beings. (Ps. 148:2, 5).
They assist in God's providential ordering of affairs (Dan. 12:1)
They are active in the divine work of reconciliation (from Gen. 19:1-2 onward).
In fulfillment of their mission, they declare God's word. (Psalm 103:20)
They do God's work (e.g., Matt. 28:2, Luke 1:26-27)
They are present at the nativity (Matt. 1; Luke 1-3) and at the resurrection (Matt. 28:2 ) and ascension (Acts 1:10ff.) of Jesus.
They also assist the church in its early ministry (Acts 5:19;10:3).
They will play an important part in the events of the end time (Revelation 8–10, 15-16, Matthew 13:39-41, 25:31, Revelation 12:7-9)
They will come with Christ when he returns in glory (Matt. 24:31) and separate the righteous and the wicked (Matt. 13:41, 49).

Title and Rank:
Hierarchy: The Bible mentions various ranks, including angels, archangels, seraphim, and cherubim. (Jude 1:9, Isaiah 6:2-7, Exodus 25:18-22)
Some are referred to as archangels, whereas others are referred to as simply angels (1 Thess. 4:16; Jude 9).
The only two angelic names are in the Bible: Michael and Gabriel. (And the fallen Lucifer).
Yahweh is said to be enthroned above the cherubim (I Sam.4:4; Ps.80:1)
Archangel Michael is called "the great prince" (Dan. 12:1), and the other angels seem to be led by him (Rev. 12:7).
Ruling Angels (Eph 3:10)
Elect Angels (1 Tim 5:11)
Guardian angel (Matt. 18:10, Heb 1:14, Ps.91:11, and Acts 12:7,15)
Their Nature:
Created Beings (Col 1:16)
Created before the World (Job 38:6-7)
Created Holy (Jude 6)
Have: Intellect (1Peter 1:12), Will (Jude 6), Emotions (Luke 2:13) Much Power (2 Peter 2:11).
They do not die (Luke 20:36)
Angels are always spoken of in the masculine gender in the Bible.
Angels are not faultless in God's eyes (Job 4:18; 15:15).
Are not all knowing (Matthew 24:36, 1 Peter 1:12)
Though they come in human form, the angels are spirit Heb 1:14, that is, non-physical. Although there is no specific reference to angels having bodies, they seem to have an appearance similar to men, because they are at times confused with them.(Gen. 18:2, 16; Ezek.9:2; Dan.10:5-6.)
By entertaining strangers, one may have entertained angels (Heb. 13:2)
"Fear not," or, "Do not be afraid" This phrase occurs frequently with the sudden appearance of angels (Matt. 28:5; Luke :13, 30; 2:10). Here it seems to indicate the feeling of fright that the angel's presence brought.
Bible clearly warns us not to worship them (Col. 2:18; Rev. 19:10).
Angels that excel in strength render their praise unto the Lord (Ps. 103:20).
In days of tribulation yet to come, angels shall join in crying, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain" (Rev. 5:11-12).
Common Questions:
What do angles look like? In their natural state, they must look large, strong, and scary, as they often start by saying, "Do not be afraid." ( Luke 2:10, Luke 1:30). Angels are spirit beings, Heb 1:14, that is, non-physical. But they are powerful enough to take on human and other forms here on earth. (Heb. 13:2) (Gen. 18:2, 16; Ezek.9:2; Dan.10:5-6.)
Do humans become angels after death? Humans do not become angels after death; they are entirely different types of beings in the New Creation. (1 Corinthians 6:3)
Who is the Angel of the Lord?
Angel of the Lord, in Judges 13:2-3, this seems to be identical with God. This most likely is a reference is to the preincarnate Jesus (Logos). (Also Gen.16:13; Judg. 6:14; 13:21-22) God refers to the angel (Exod. 23:23; 32:34) God speaks to him (II Sam. 24:16; I Chr. 21:27), and the angel speaks to Yahweh (Zech. 1:12)
Who are Fallen Angels? Have there been fallen Angels?
Lucifer (also called Satan, devil), originally a high-ranking good angel, became envious and prideful, desiring to be equal to or greater than God. Lucifer led a rebellion that failed, resulting in his expulsion from heaven with one-third of the angels (demons) following him. Isaiah 14 and Revelation 12. This gave rise to powers of evil (Eph. 6:12), there is a real kingdom of evil of fallen angels (Matt. 25:41; II Pet. 2:4; Rev. 12:7-9 Eph 6:11-12, Jude 1:6.) These fallen angels and their leader were defeated at the cross (Col. 2:15) and will finally be condemned (Matt. 5:41). Lucifer is a fallen angel created by God. Lucifer has other names and titles in the Bible: Satan, Beelzebub, Belial, Devil, Tempter, the Evil One, accuser, deceiver, liar, slanderer, adversary, Father of Lies, the Serpent and the Dragon.
The Bible states, "demons flee at the name of Jesus". The Bible teaches that demons are subject to the authority of Jesus' name and flee when believers resist them by faith. Key scriptures include Mark 16:17 (believers casting out demons in His name) and James 4:7 ("Resist the devil, and he will flee from you")
In 1 Peter 5:8: devil walks around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (looking for someone to open a door to let him in (like occult activity). see (Deuteronomy 18:9-12, Acts 16:16-18, 1 Corinthians 10:20, Mark 5:1-13, Matthew 17:15, Leviticus 19:31, and Revelation 21:8, Micah 5:12, Revelation 18:23, 1 Samuel 28, Isaiah 47:13-14, and Deuteronomy 4:19)
Ephesians 6:11 '"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. " (God is here to help the believers)
How can one tell a fallen angel from a righteous angel?
Righteous angels can not lie and are about God's work of doing good and protecting believers. Fallen angels (demons) are liars and false accusers. Fallen angels, while the Bible says they can appear as angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), are set on hurting, deceiving, and doing harm. One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit that some (not all) have is the discernment of spirits (1 Cor. 12:10). James 1:5 says that all should "test" spirits. If a believer is having trouble discerning spirits (angels), they should ask another believer for help. We have seen fallen angels (demons), deceiving people by coming as UFOs or UFO aliens. There are no aliens, but if one strongly wishes to contact one (open a door to demons (1 Peter 5:8), demons are happy to come as UFOs or UFO aliens. We know this is true as UFOs or UFO alien contact is always negative (loss of sleep, nightmares, and worse), never beneficial. The Bible teaches that the dead can not return to earth, but if one wishes to talk to the dead, demons are happy to help. We have seen this often in the Monron Cult faith, as they work to "save" dead people. To end any demon problem is easy, 1) Close the door to the demon (occult activity), that is agree with God that what one is doing is wrong. 2) Pray and ask Jesus Christ to come into one's life. Jesus is much more powerful than any demon, thus the demon must flee. See Mormon Cult Page and UFO Cults page
If something is not Holy, is it demonic? No, God created everything, so most of the Earth is not evil. God created in Gen 1 and said "it is very good" (not perfect). People can open the door to demonic influence. The demonic influence can affect people, relationships, animals, and even objects, Mark 5:12-13. Also see the natural evil page.
While popular culture often emphasizes a horned, red figure, this is not found in the Bible.
