Many think of DNA as just code, a 4-letter code. Whe now know that it is alot more complex. Dr. Jacqueline Barton at Caltech, groundbreaking studies have shown that the DNA double helix acts as a molecular "electrical wire" to facilitate rapid electron transfer over long distances.
Damage Detection: Various DNA repair proteins are anchored along the DNA strand. They constantly pass electrons back and forth through the double helix (utilizing iron-sulfur clusters).
The Signaling Switch: If the DNA is completely healthy and intact, the electron successfully reaches the next protein, signaling that it is time to detach.
Spotting Lesions: If the "wire" is broken or damaged, the electron cannot travel through. The repair protein remains anchored to the site and begins the process of fixing the mutation.
DNA Replication: This electrical signaling mechanism also directs proteins during cell division. Electrons sent through the DNA strands act as on/off switches, prompting enzymes to begin or halt the copying process

An old letters of St Pual found, confirms that the letters of Paul have never changed.
Lost pages with 'ghost' text recovered from one of the world's most important New Testament manuscripts. University team used multispectral imaging to reveal text from Codex H, a sixth-century palimpsest. Researchers recently recovered 42 old pages. The text does not contain any new scripture and dates back to 500 AD.

Scientists accidentally discover DNA that breaks the rules of life.
This unexpected discovery challenges long-held assumptions about how genetic translation works and hints that nature may be far more flexible—and mysterious—than scientists realized.

New book on archaeological evidence for Jesus rockets to top of bestseller list. By Dr Jeremiah Johnston says 10 major finds.
"The Jesus Discoveries" By Dr Jeremiah Johnston
A new book on the historical evidence for Jesus has skyrocketed to the top of the bestseller charts as a prominent New Testament scholar argues that overwhelming archaeological finds verify the authenticity of the Bible and the resurrection.
One of the proofs is the Shroud of Turin, a 14-foot linen cloth showing a photographic negative image.
The Shroud of Turin is very debated; there is strong evidence for it being from Jesus, and there are some problems with the evidence.
Pro: The Image on the cloth is a very thin layer, so thin that it would have been from a supernatural source. This image was not painted on, it was not pressed on, it is not pigment.
Con: The doubter will point to the DNA evidence. The problem is NO DNA evidence can be used to date the Shroud of Turin cloth. The Shroud of Turin has been handled by many people over the years, and it survived a fire that damaged it with smoke. So any DNA test will NOT give the age of the Shroud of Turin cloth! DNA will tell you about the those that handled it and the smoke in it.
Genetic material found on the shroud includes those of domestic dogs, cats, chickens, cattle, goats, sheep, pigs and horses, as well as wild animals such as deer and rabbits. DNA from carrots, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, and some wheat species were also found on samples from the shroud. Intense handling of the shroud by humans over the years, is also confirmed by the presence of skin bacteria on samples, including Cutibacterium and Staphylococcus. All tests and analysis not date the age of the shroud.

Change in terms
Hominids: The term "archaic" Homo sapiens refers to thick-boned hominids, which are not like modern humans. NOTE: In recent years, there has been a push to call all Hominids human. Thus, Modern Human must now be called anatomically modern Human or Homo sapiens sapiens. Hominids, from the Hominidae family of primates, are bipedal primates (animals). The Hominids appeared before modern humans. Several species have been discovered from ancient bones. All Hominid species have gone extinct. While Hominids share upright walking (bipedalism) with anatomically modern humans, many other features are very different. As Hominids are Homo sapiens. See the Hominids page and Human Origins page

Archaeologists Discovered the Remains of One of the Largest Christian Monasteries Ever
Generations of monks once lived in this monastic complex, and by the fifth century, it was also a hub of Coptic art and culture in Egypt.
Egypt began to transition to Christianity shortly after the turn of the first century C.E., and by the fifth century, it was a hub of Coptic art and culture.
A Coptic monastery discovered at the Al-Qalaye archaeological site is now the second-largest known monastic complex in Christian history.
Found in the ruins of the complex were columns and their foundations, pottery vessels and fragments, a limestone cross, and a receiving hall for guests.

"The maintenance of genomic integrity during DNA damage is essential for cell survival."
DNA is the information to "build" a life form. As soon as a copy of DNA or part of it is made, the cell checks the information for errors and repairs any errors. This is a very complex system.
InTranscription activation mechanism of a noncanonical DNA damage response pathway by the WYL-activator, DriD Found in Science Advances 20 Mar 2026, has new information about this very complex repair system found in each cell. Ext.Link For more info, see the Life page and Evolution page

"Transcription of DNA into RNA relies on a globally orchestrated but microscopically stochastic recruitment of multiple proteins to targeted DNA sequences. DNA binding is only a first step."
"Successful DNA transcription demands coordination between proteins that bind DNA while simultaneously binding to one another to form dimers or higher-order complexes. For proteins with numerous DNA targets throughout the genome, measurements that report on their dwell time or occupancy thus represent a convolution over a population interacting with specific DNA, nonspecific DNA, or protein partners on DNA." DNA gene expression is the fundamental process where DNA instructions are converted into functional products, primarily proteins, driving cellular structure, function, and adaptation. It involves two main steps: transcription (DNA to mRNA) and translation (mRNA to protein). Regulation occurs at multiple levels, controlling when and how much of a gene product is made. Transcription is very complex as DNA expression activators are proteins or molecules that turn on gene expression by promoting the transcription of DNA into RNA. DNA expression enchantments are short, non-coding regulatory sequences in DNA that act as "molecular switches" to increase the rate of transcription of specific genes, making Transcription even more complex. Making Transcription more complex is Transcription factors (TFs) are specialized proteins that regulate gene expression by binding to specific DNA sequences (promoters or enhancers) to turn genes on or off. By controlling the transcription of DNA into mRNA, they dictate cellular development, differentiation, and responses to stimuli. TFs often function as dimers and act as "master regulators" of cellular processes. They function by binding specialized proteins called transcription factors (activators), which subsequently recruit coactivators and RNA polymerase II to the gene promoter.

Motherhood
Studies strongly suggest that motherhood may reduce the risk of dementia, with some research indicating that women with two or more children have a lower risk of developing dementia in later life compared to women with fewer children. Proposed biological reasons include hormonal changes during pregnancy and breastfeeding that may affect brain health. 81,413 women were in the Study! Ext Link .edu Ext.
